We
are pleased to announce that we will shortly be replacing
the current Webmail product with a new and improved interface.
New Webmail features include:
•
Choice of interface style.
•
Advanced HTML editor with Spell checker.
•
Tabbed email browsing for quick navigation.
•
Advanced Address book with search tools.
•
Calendar and Tasks (Advanced Mailboxes).
•
Personal Folders to organise emails.
•
Sent Mail Folder for all mailboxes.
•
Filters to automatically sort new mail.
•
Spam Filter Settings (Advanced Mailboxes).
•
Comprehensive Help pages.
You won't need to do anything new when we go live – you
will log in to the new interface with your usual web address
and mailbox login details. Email in existing mailboxes will appear
in your new Inbox, and Contacts from the current Webmail will
be transferred into your new Address book.
Customers using BT Yahoo! Broadband may
find that they are now unable to send emails from Standard POP3
mailboxes. This is due to a security update by BT, who have today
announced that they are now preventing BT Yahoo! Broadband users
from sending emails from software such as Microsoft Outlook and
Thunderbird, when the "From" email address is not a
BT Yahoo! email address or a "validated alternative email
address".
Please refer to the BT
Yahoo! Service Status page for more details.
We would like to remind customers that we can provide "Roaming
SMTP" with Advanced and Microsoft Exchange mailboxes, enabling
you to send email using your PC software, regardless of your
broadband provider. Prices start from £20 per annum ex
VAT.
