European
City Guide Scam
Not strictly internet related, but we're
feeling righteous.
An organisation called European City Guide
is sending out forms explaining that its records are being updated
and asking for businesses to confirm their details.
The form says the updates are free and then
asks for a signature. However, small print
at the foot of the page reveals that a signature is only
required for an insertion into their guide.
This will set you back an unrighteous 917
Euros (about £611). Report it to Trading Standards or OFT
and be practical - use the form as a firelighter.
